This single-storey, cellared, detached house, built for Lidmila Pauková is one of Musil’s later works. On each floor is situated one traditionally arranged apartment, with two rooms, one kitchen, and WC/bathroom. The living spaces face south – thereby ensuring not only sufficient light, but a view into the garden and over to the town. The simple façade is given an eccentric flourish on the eastern and southern aspect by two small balconies, a sandstone socle balancing the terrain, and also on the northern façade is situated composite windows and an avant-corps housing the stairwell.
